InformalSMP is a season-based Minecraft Java Edition server rotating through different popular modpacks and challenge maps!
Once each season is over, the server will be archived in it's final state and you'll be able to find information on it below.
World downloads for previous seasons will be made available to all Informal Lounge Patreon members.
Season Two
Season Two began on May 16th, 2025!
This time we're running a semi-vanilla super flat world!
No mods are required to join, and you're able to join from both Java and Bedrock edition.
The only plugin you'll need to be aware of is GriefPrevention in order to protect your builds - click here for a guide.
Additional GriefPrevention Info
All players start with 25,000 claim blocks and gain an additional 1,000 blocks per hour, up to 100,000.
Automatic claims (such as those creating by placing your first chest with no other existing claims) expire after 14 days of not logging on. Manual claims expire after 30 days of not logging on. However, if you have more than 25 hours of playtime your claims will no longer expire.
Players can activate pressure plates and open wooden doors within claims, but cannot activate buttons/levers or open fence gates.

When will this season end?
We plan to have each season run for a minimum of three months. After that, it depends on when players begin to lose interest in the current season. Finally, once we have given the season an end date we'll take a vote on what we should do for the next season.
When will the next season start?
Between seasons we will take short breaks to give us time to get everything ready prior to the start of each season. If we already have the next season planned you'll be able to find more information above!
How do I join?
During each season the server will run 24/7. You can join on Minecraft Java Edition using the IP Copied! smp.informallounge.com. If the current season requires any mods you'll be able to find the information and downloads for those linked above!
Do I get any additional in-game benefits as a Patreon member?
There are currently no additional in-game benefits for Informal Lounge Patreon members on InformalSMP.
Due to the nature of the server it would be extremely difficult to maintain a system to give Patreon members unique benefits during each season. However, Patreon members do have access to in-game benefits on the LegacySMP server!
Patreon members also have access to world downloads from previous InformalSMP seasons.

Previous Seasons
Season One - FTB One
InformalSMP Season One started on May 25th, 2024 and ran until May 4th, 2025.
It was based around the modpack FTB One 2.8.3 on Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2.
Patreon members have access to the world download via our Patreon.
